Kurrajong - “Garaaga”

Brachychiton  populneus - Various parts of the plant provided healthy food.  The roasted seeds can be eaten (important that irritating hairs are  burnt off). They can be ground as a coffee substitute and used in bread,  and the tap root is also edible, a nutritious vegetable said to be  similar to carrot. Prefers full sun and warmer temperature.
